Attorney and shareholder, Abe Laydon, has been accepted into the 2016 Class of the Leadership Program of the Rockies (LPR). LPR is a competitive leadership program in Colorado that counts among its alumni many local and national elected officials, top state leaders, federal judges, presidential cabinet members, and prominent movers and thought leaders in the arenas of political process, policy change, business, and education. Each year 65 individuals are selected from hundreds of applicants for a spot in the program. To be selected for LPR, a candidate, often invited by an existing member, must submit an application, two letters of recommendation from existing LPR members, and, if chosen for an interview, pass a panel interview process involving a formal presentation by the candidate and rapid-fire questions from the panel in the Socratic method. The program commences with a welcome reception at the Brown Palace October 9th and includes an all-day class once a month for nine months taught by nationally recognized leaders as well as a leadership retreat at the Broadmoor in February.  Mr. Laydon is grateful for the opportunity to expand his leadership skill set through this distinguished Colorado institution.
